It’s Time for Congress to Create an Employment Verification System That Works

The TRUTH About E-Verify in Arizona

On January 1, 2008, Arizona became the first state to mandate that all employers use E-Verify.  Here’s what Arizona’s employers have to say about E-Verify after using the system:

  • “Arizona faces unique workforce challenges – perhaps like no other state.  The E-Verify system can cause delays in hiring people, and its paper-based requirements are inefficient and costly.  The electronic and accurate system proposed in H.R. 5515 would be a significant improvement.” – Suzanne Taylor, Vice President, Arizona Chamber of Commerce and Industry
  • “I talk to Arizona employers everyday who want to be part of the solution for ending illegal immigration, but the E-Verify system doesn’t help them.  They need an alternative to E-Verify, like the one provided in NEVA, that works.” – Paul Parisi, Vice President, Tucson Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce

Arizona employers prefer the New Employee Verification Act (NEVA - H.R. 5515) to E-Verify because it would provide a reliable, accurate and efficient electronic verification system.  Support H.R. 5515 Today!
